Emeritus Professor Don Byerly passes away

Emeritus Professor Don Byerly passed away last week. He was an alumnus (MS 1957, PhD 1966) and a faculty member, who did a lot for our department, retiring in 2000 after a long career.

Don’s obituary is available at https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/knoxnews/obituary.aspx?n=don-wayne-byerly&pid=188872256. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 6th at 2:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 6500 Northshore Drive.  The family will receive friends after the service.
