Ashley Ramsey, Geoscientists and Alumna
I serve as a senior project manager at Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc., located in Roswell, Georgia. My journey in geology started with a BS degree in geological science from Baylor University (’15), followed by an MS in Earth and Planetary Sciences from UT (’18).
During my nearly six years in environmental consulting, I’ve worked on a diverse range of projects, from site assessments to remediation, permitting, and compliance across the Southeastern United States. I’m dedicated to making a positive impact on our environment and communities.
My passion also lies in mentoring and outreach. I believe in nurturing the next generation of geoscientists, both within and outside my organization. I’ve led multiple enterprise-wide mentoring programs, played a key role in establishing a career fair for geoscience students at UT, and participated in this year’s Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Young Professionals Leadership Academy (YPLA), focusing on making the solid-waste industry appealing to the next generation.
Community involvement is vital to me. As an advisor for my local university’s Zeta Tau Alpha Chapter, I enjoy guiding young individuals on their personal and professional journeys.
Stepping into the role of chair, I bring experience, dedication, and a passion for Earth and planetary sciences. I look forward to the future of our department and the opportunities we can create together.
I am excited to work with students, faculty, alumni, and community members as we guide the EPS Advisory Board toward new horizons. Aligned with our mission to offer perspective, advice, resources, and support, I am passionate about fostering the next generation of geoscientists. Through mentorship, professional development, and our collective expertise, we’ll advance Earth sciences and ensure our department’s ongoing success. Your trust is deeply appreciated, and I am thrilled to start this journey of growth, innovation, and mentorship together.
